Brain Injury Support Group of the Black Hills  - Next meeting is Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 and the topic is "Catastrophic Reaction". The Brain Injury Support Group of the Black Hills meets on the second Tuesday of every month. The group meets at Community Transitions in the Conference Room at 6:15PM and finishes by 8PM. TBI Chat Room Home Page -- Where you can share your experiences with others.

Black Hills Stroke Support Group -- For stroke survivors. This group meets from 10AM to 12PM on the first Saturday of every month (from October to June) at Regional Rehabilitation Institute. Contact: Judy Donahue (605) 484-2260 for more information.

Black Hills Veterans Administration Support / Training Group -- For veterans with brain injury. Contact: (605) 718-1095 for more information.

Brain Injury Alliance of South Dakota -- Helping people with brain injury in South Dakota find resources and promote awareness. Contact: Ron Hoops, President. Call (605) 395-6655.

Aberdeen Area Brain Injury Support Group -- Contact Person / Facilitator: Ron Hoops  (605) 395-6655 When: Meets the third Tuesday of every month from 7PM to 8:30PM.  Where: Rehabilitation Center at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, 4th floor.

Sioux Falls Area Brain Injury Support Group -- Contact Person / Facilitator: Karen Brokenleg  (605) 275-8309, Deb Lichty (605) 322-5066, or Melissa Suter (605) 333-4571 When: Meets the second Saturday of every month, from September through May at 1PM to 2:45PM. Where: The Center for Active Generations at 2300 W. 46th Street , Sioux Falls, SD. The support group provides a confidential environment where persons with brain injury and their families can share accomplishments and struggles with others who understand. The group tries to have an educational speaker at least every 2-3 months. A monthly newsletter is sent out to those on the mailing list.
