Memory Process - Attention is the first stage in forming memories. Then memories must be encoded (using working memory). Memories are then consolidated and stored in long term memory. After that, memories must be retrieved for recall of the information. If any part of this process breaks down, the memory process will not be effective. Neuropsychological Terms and Definitions - A list of terms and definitions used in neuropsychological testing and the brain injury field.
